Introduction
Whether you are a DJ or just want to mix your favorite songs to create your own music mashup, radio advertisement, soundtrack, MP3 Audio Editor is right for you. It's powerful music mixing software to let you mix multiple audio tracks together quickly and easily. Download and install MP3 Audio Editor and follow the step-by-step tutorial to mix audio files.
Step 1. Input an Audio File
Launch MP3 Audio Editor. Click "Open" ()
to activate a browser window, in which you can select
an audio file from your computer (
).
Then, click "Open" (
)
to input the audio file to program.
Tips: All the files of the supported formats can be seen in the "Open" window & if you want know other formats supported, activate the "Files of type" dropdown list at the bottom.
Step 2. Select a Region
Select the region of the waveform to be mixed with audio
file. There are 4 ways to select a region: click anywhere of
the waveform as a starting point and use hotkey like
Shift+Home, Shift+End or Ctrl+A to select from start/end
or all ();
click the left button and drag along with the waveform to the
place wanted to be selected (
);
specify the beginner & end of the session by
moving the sliders below the waveform window (
);
Input the start, end and length of time to
choose specified region at the bottom of the editor (
).
(If you want to mix the entire song, click "Select All")
Tips: If you do not select any part, some inactivated buttons will be in color grey and the corresponding features are unavailable; some audio effect will be directly applied to the whole waveform.
Step 3. Mix File
Click "Mix File" ()
to activate a browser window, in which you can choose
an audio file you want to mix with the currently selected
waveform audio (
).
Then, click "Open" (
)
to activate "Paste Mix" window to specify the
parameters of mix volume (
).
Click "OK" (
)
to apply the effect. If you want to listen to the mixed audio,
click "Play" button.
Step 4. Save the Changes
After the mixing is finished, you can save the file by clicking
the "Save" ().
Save File: to save the changes to the edited
file.
Save File As: The file that has been edited
can be saved with a different file name and/or location.
Save Selection As: to save just the highlighted
selection to a file.
