How to Add Audio Effects?


Introduction

With MP3 Audio Editor you'll have sounds and tones like a rock star without hours of hunting for equipment. All effects are available to personalize audio to your preferences for a rich listening experience. First, you should download and install MP3 Audio Editor.

Step 1. Input an Audio File

Launch MP3 Audio Editor. Click "Open" (1) to activate a browser window, in which you can select an audio file from your computer (2). Then, click "Open" (3) to input the audio file to program. (You can add more than one audio file to the task window to edit.)

Tips: All the files of the supported formats can be seen in the "Open" window & if you want know other formats supported, activate the "Files of type" dropdown list at the bottom.

Step 2. Select a Region

Select the region you want to add audio effects. There are 4 ways to select a region: click anywhere of the waveform as a starting point and use hotkey like Shift+Home, Shift+End or Ctrl+A to select from start/end or all (1); click the left button and drag along with the waveform to the place wanted to be selected (2); specify the beginner & end of the session by moving the sliders below the waveform window (3); Input the start, end and length of time to choose specified region at the bottom of the editor (4).

Tips: If you do not select any part, some inactivated buttons will be in color grey and the corresponding features are unavailable; some audio effect will be directly applied to the whole waveform.

Step 3. Add Effects to the Selected Region

Click the "Effect" tab (1) and you can apply echo, vibrato, amplify, chorus, fade... to your music (2). The settings window of corresponding effect will be activated. Specify detailed parameters or apply some popular presets to adjust the effect (3). Click "Preview" (4) to listen to the music before adding the effects to the waveform to make sure you get exactly what you want. Then click "OK" (5) to add the effect to the selected region.

Step 4. Save the Changes

Now go back to the "Home" tab (1) and click the "Save" (2) to save the changes.

Save File: to save the changes to the edited file.
Save File As: The file that has been edited can be saved with a different file name and/or location.
Save Selection As: to save just the highlighted selection to a file.
