Mp3 Audio Editor Options

General Settings

 

When creating a new file

 

Prompt for Sample Rate and Channels

 

Select this option if you want Mp3 Audio Editor to prompt for sample rate and channels when you create a new audio file.

 

Use default Sample Rate and Channels

 

Select this option if you want to use the default sample rate and channels when create a new audio file.

 

To change the default sample rate and channels click on the button "Set Default Sample Rate and Channels". The sample rate must be between 600 and 96000 samples per second (see General Audio Concepts (Samples, Channels etc..)).

 

Options

 

Auto re-arrange file windows so that they are all visible

 

Select this option if you want Mp3 Audio Editor to auto tile windows horizontally all file windows on the Desktop whenever you load a new file into Mp3 Audio Editor. This is useful if you want to be able to see all files at anytime.

 

Add Mp3 Audio Editor into Windows Explorer context menu

 

Select this option if you want to add Mp3 Audio Editor into the right-click context menu in Windows Explorer for all supported audio file formats. For example, with this option selected, right-click on a .wav file in Windows Explorer and you should see an item called "Edit with Mp3 Audio Editor" in the menu that appears.

Audio Working Folder

 

When Mp3 Audio Editor loads a file it keeps a copy of the working audio (in full quality 32 bit) in the working folder for fast editing and processing. If you are running out of hard drive space on your C drive you can change this to be some other temporary folder.

 

Play Options

 

Play file automatically when opened

 

Select this option if you want Mp3 Audio Editor to automatically play the file when opened.

 

Automatic playback after any edit or effect

 

Select this option if you want Mp3 Audio Editor to automatically replay your audio file after you have finished performing any edit or effects operation.

 

Play file automatically after go to bookmark

 

Select this option if you want Mp3 Audio Editor to automatically play the file after you selected a bookmark.

 

Play file automatically after select region

 

Select this option if you want Mp3 Audio Editor to automatically play the file after you selected a region.

 

Reduce volume by -8db with rewind and fast-forward

 

Select this option if you want Mp3 Audio Editor to reduce the play volume by -8db when rewind or fast forward.
